GLA is for students who have a desire to explore global issues, perform community service, as well as learn and demonstrate leadership skills. Students participate in activities which cultivate global awareness. Feature of the Global Leadership Academy include: 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens: The Leader in Me; Debating skills; Cadet Program; Future Business Leaders of America; and the Multicultural Fair. Field trips may include: Pali Institute; the Reagan Discovery Center; UCLA/USC campus tours; California Science Center; Museum of Tolerance; LACMA; Getty Center or Getty Villa; Japanese American Museum; Museum of Latin American Art; California African-American Museum; and the Skirball Center.
