CULMINATION REQUIREMENT FOR EIGHTH GRADE effective 2016 – 2017
To participate in the culmination activity, eighth grade students must have:
50 credits in the eighth grade with marks of “D” or better in all subject areas. Which means… No more than TWO (2) “F”s on the final report card for the entire year…. BOTH FALL AND SPRING combined!
No more than TWO (2) “U”s in Cooperation and/or No more than TWO (2) “U”s in Work Habits for the entire year.
No more than SEVEN (7) absences for the entire year.
Return and/or cleared all textbook debts, library books and/or other debts. If you do not pay your debt you will not receive your culmination certificate and, furthermore, the debt will follow you to high school.
No frequent or serious violations of school regulations.
Administration reserves the right to withhold a student from participating in the culmination ceremony.
Important Note: Students may be eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion (without culminating on the stage) provided the above requirements have been met and the student in only in excess of “U”s in Work Habits and Cooperation.
